One honest note: exchange rates are the single thing on Convertze that has to come from the internet. A public daily rates table is downloaded and cached on your device; the amounts you type are never sent anywhere, the math happens locally.

Frequently asked questions
Where do the exchange rates come from?
From the open ExchangeRate-API feed, refreshed about once a day and cached in your browser for 24 hours. After the first load, the tool even works offline using the cached table.
Will I get exactly this rate at a bank or money changer?
No, treat these as mid-market reference rates. Banks, cards and transfer services add a margin of roughly 0.5 to 4 percent on top, so the amount you actually receive will be a little lower.
Is the amount I type sent to a server?
No. Only a generic rates table is downloaded, the same table for every visitor. Your amounts and currency choices stay on your device, where the conversion is calculated.
